Anoto partner, Develop IQ, has again won an award for its work with Portsmouth NHS Trust.
 
The Trust’s midwives use Digital Pen and Paper technology to take notes during consultations with expectant mothers out in the community, a simple solution that has helped to save the trust a projected annual saving of £220,000. The midwives use the Digital Pen to fill out the patient’s maternity notes, which are then also digitally updated to the maternity unit’s digital patient records system.
 
The EHI Award recognizes both products and end users and highlight innovation on all sides of the IT industry. DevelopIQ won the category "Best use of mobile technology in healthcare". The winners were announced on October 6.
